It’s already March! Wow, February flew by so quickly. Even though February is a short month, I discovered several beauty products I really loved and enjoyed. Many of these I purchased a few months ago, but I got to really love them this past month. so, here are the products I want to share with you.
I want to start with the Tarte Tartiest Pro palette. I bought this palette on my break in December, but I didn’t get to play with it as much until last month. This palette consists of 16 matte shadows and 4 shimmer shadows. I found that the matte eyeshadows are dry but easy to work with. I’ve heard many beauty gurus saying that Tarte’s eyeshadows are dry. Don’t get me wrong, the eyeshadows are pigmented. The shimmers are BEAUTIFUL. They are also pigmented. I used all of these colors last month and quickly became my favorite palette for everyday.
The next product was recommended by my sister. It is the Nivea Skin Firming and Toning gel-cream. It claims to firm and tone the appearance of skin. It helps to reduce cellulite and tighten skin. After giving birth to my son 9 months ago, I have tried many products to help “tighten” the appearance of my stomach and thighs. Hearing about this product and how my sister loved it. She’s been using this for about a year! I thought why don’t I give this a try since it is only $12.99 on Ulta. I’ve been using this for about a month and a half. It feels so smooth on the skin. So far I haven’t seen results but I love how it moisturizes and melts in my skin. I really do like this product as it is different from any other skin product I’ve used.
Oh the aftermath of pregnancy! These past months following the birth of my son, my hair has gotten so dry and brittle. I have tried many oil treatments to help bring back moisture to my hair, but all they did were give me greasy, clumpy hair not until I discovered Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Oil Treatment. This oil treatment contains macadamia, argan and vitamin E oils, a combination of my favorite oils. This did not leave my hair greasy at all. I would rub this on my scalp and apply a small amount on my ends. It helped bring back shine to my hair. It’s a little pricey, $39.95 for a 4.2 oz. bottle; but all you need is one pump to cover your entire hair.
The next product has been a favorite by many. It is the Coty Airspun translucent loose face powder. It has been compared to the Laura Mercier loose powder. I ran out of my Laura Mercier and heard great reviews on the Coty powder. So I wanted to try it since it was affordable. I love how much product it had compared to the Laura Mercier. It pretty much did the same job as the Laura Mercier. I enjoyed using this powder but I’ll always prefer the Laura Mercier.
Like I mentioned before in a previous post, I love Mario Badescu skincare products. They never disappoint me. They feel so natural on my skin. One of the products that became my favorite immediately was the Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rose Water. I was more impressed spray with the ingredients. It has my aloe and rose water, which are great for sensitive and irritated skin. Firstly, the spray is affordable, $7 for a 4 oz bottle. Secondly, this spray smells so good. And lastly, this spray was refreshing. I use this facial spray after my skincare regimen and before and after applying my makeup.
My last two favorite products are an eyeshadow from Milani cosmetics and a liquid lipstick from Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics. I was intrigued by the Milani eyeshadows. It is a gel powder formula, feels so creamy. It looked stunning. The packaging and the colors were different from what I had in my collection. So I decided to try one color, which was the Teal color. It is beautiful. As soon as I applied it on my eyes, it became a favorite eyeshadow of mine. For sure, I will purchase more of these Bella Eyes Gel Powder eyeshadows.
I’ve always been on a look out to find the best brown lip color that will match my skin tone. I have tried the Colourpop Limbo liquid lipstick but it wasn’t flattering on me. When Anastasia Beverly Hills came out with their liquid lipstick in Ashton, I just knew I would fall in love with it. And I did! Ever since buying the lipstick it has been my everyday lipstick choice.
Ashton is described as a midtone yellow brown, a warm brown. It dries completely matte and lasts long.
These were my February favorites. Are any of these products your favorites too? Let me know down below! 🙂
