It’s already April, my birthday month plus a month left until my son turns a year! I felt like March was a long month. I tried a couple of products I really liked, some were alright and others became a part of my go to products.
The first product I’d love to talk about is the Tarte shape tape concealer. I was a bit hesitant to buy it since I heard a lot of people saying it was ‘drying’, and I hate concealers that dry out my under eye. Before buying it, I of course swatch it on my hands. It actually felt really nice. I loved the formulation and the thickness. I went ahead and bought it, anyways if I didn’t like it I could return it. But I love it! I applied it under my eyes and it was creamy and easy to blend. I also had no problem with creasing. It costs only $24, cheaper than the NARS concealer which is $30.
The next product is an eye cream from Origins, the Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer. This eye cream was recommended by a friend so I decided to try it myself. It claims to help “delete darkness, diffuse puffiness and strengthen fragile eye skin to prevent future discoloration.” So far I am liking it. I have been using this for about two weeks. I love how it feels on my eyes, very lightweight and moisturizing. It is a little pricey, $44. I bought this when Origins sent out a coupon. Occasionally, they send out coupons, which I find very helpful. Origins is pricey; but they have great quality products.
I went to Ulta a couple of weeks ago, I was in need of a new moisturizer. I have always wanted to try Dermalogica face products, since I heard many great reviews on them. One of the workers in Ulta helped me choose a moisturizer that will be a better choice for my face. I bought the Dermalogica Active Moist moisturizer. It is a lightweight and oil-free moisturizer. It’s a little pricey, 1.7 oz. for $40 or 3.4 oz. for $60. But hey, quality over quantity. Am I right? I have been using this for over two weeks and love how my face feels. It didn’t break me out, thankfully. I love the scent. It smells “natural.” It isn’t an overpowering smell. I am really enjoying the moisturizer and even considering buying more from this brand.
Of course going to Ulta I won’t go home with just one product, I decided to buy the new Mario Badescu facial spray in aloe, cucumber and green tea. If you may or may not know, I love Mario Badescu products especially their facial sprays. When I saw this product, I loved it instantly and I knew I had to get it. I own his facial spray in rose water, too. I love it; but I also wanted this spray since the ingredients looked calming and refreshing to my skin. And it costs only $7, very affordable.
These were the products I bought and tried. And, instantly fell in my March Favorites. I did try other products too, but I didn’t like them. They did not exceed my expectations. Are these any of your favorites?
