When it first came out I thought I had to get it. But it sold out so quickly, I couldn’t get my hands on it. Fortunately, I was able to get it this time. The Too Faced Sweet Peach palette is the most hyped up palette of the year. Of course it is, the packaging is beautiful. And the sweet peach scent is mesmerizing. But is it worth the hype? Other than loving the packaging and the scent, the eyeshadows weren’t really unique or different. So here is my review on this palette and why I think it’s not worth it.
There are 18 shades with different finishes and a sweet peach smell. The scent is not overwhelmingly strong. When you apply them on your eyes, the smell goes away. It also tastes so sweet and peachy.Yum 😅 The colors are beautiful. Some are pigmented and others are disappointing. The lighter shades were not as pigmented as the darker ones. For a palette that is called Sweet Peach palette, there aren’t a lot of peachy and orangey colors. I was a bit disappointed as I really wanted Too Faced to include that. There are many shades in here that I already have in my collection, like the bronzey shades.
I have been using this palette for about two weeks now. I have to say I love the shimmer shades in here, so creamy and pigmented, especially the olive shade and the purple (my fav shades in the palette.) The shadows performed well with a primer. They showed up pigmented and were easy to blend. They lasted about 10 hours.
All in all for $49.00 I do not think this palette is worth it. Many of the shadows are almost in every eyeshadow palettes. There weren’t a lot of peachy shades. The lighter shadows weren’t as pigmented as I wanted them to be. The packaging is beautiful but not worth $49 for shadows that don’t live up to the hype. I am not disappointed by this palette at all. I can still work with it to meet my expectations. But if you are a makeup junkie like me and cannot resist on not buying because of the packaging, I guess it’s fine to get this palette. But I recommend to save money and invest in a better palette.
